Our family moved to Riverwood Farms Subdivision in October 2009. The love we had for our newly purchased home and neighborhood remains the same to this day. I have not always been a fan of yardwork, but I like things to look pretty. As I have gotten older, I find that it is so therapeutic working in my flowerbeds, pruning or planting. My husband is a retired lieutenant with the Memphis Fire Department and is a jack-of-all-trades. He can literally build anything. When our neighbors hear banging and hammering, they always seem to call to see what project he’s working on. He has rebuilt our patio, which has an outdoor kitchen and fire pit. That is where you will find us eating our dinner most evenings from spring to summer. After a long day of work, we love to sit out with a nice glass of wine and relax. We are raising our 10-year-old granddaughter Shelly, who goes to the neighborhood school and we have a little shorkie named Charley.
We cannot think of any other neighborhood we would like to live in besides where we are now.
