Imagine our surprise when our doorbell rang this weekend and at the door were Joan and Mark Hinrichs! They presented our house with the “Beautification Yard Sign!” You would’ve thought we had won the Publishers Clearing House Award with the way “I” reacted.
I love yard work. I especially love lots of greenery like hostas and monkey grasses and pots of flowers here and there. I also love yard ornaments. I bet I’m the only person in the Tri-State area with a pelican in their yard.
Please allow me to give a big thank you to Joan and Mark for noticing my and my husband\’s efforts at keeping our neighborhood beautiful.
