Donnie and I have been married 51 years and have loved gardening since we were homeowners. We have been here six years now and the majority of the beautiful plants are from his love of propagating plants. He leaves the planting to me.
We both have found it extremely rewarding in gifting plants to the warriors and heroes at West Clinic for several years now. We want everyone who walks through their doors to know how much we care and to perhaps bring a smile to their face.
During our daughter’s journey, West Clinic seemed like our second home. We found it so special with the volunteers bringing treats, handmade gifts from children, visits from the loving dogs during chemo, singers and musicians sharing their time and talents to brighten our day.
Donnie too became a patient of WC. I am taking over his love of propagating and potting plants but not on as large a scale. I will continue to decorate and deliver the plants each week.
Their legacy lives on.
